Tropical Island Bed and Breakfast

There are accommodations for 12 Brothers and Sisters (three rooms with two queen size beds in each) Each room is equipped with TV, VCR and DVD player, in addition to the large TV, VCR, and DVD player in the living room with a huge selection of videos and DVDs. TIBB offers internet service, kitchen privileges, & housekeeper service, rooms available with air conditioning.

One room has a private bath while the others share a bathroom. Only Jehovah's Witnesses and their friends and relatives accompanying them are accepted as guests.

TROPICAL ISLAND BED & BREAKFAST is not a 5-star hotel, but is a homey Bed and Breakfast for brothers and sisters. The Branch Office in the Dominican Republic very often recommends our facility to our fellow Witnesses

Brothers and Sisters from all over the world come to enjoy a vacation unlike any other. Some return year after year after having enjoyed the encouragement and fellowship of the local brothers and needgreaters.

"Mi casa es tu casa" (my house is your house) is a warm heartfelt expression of hospitality among the Hispanic people and is truly also the motto of Tropical Island Bed & Breakfast where brothers feel right at home, whether it be relaxing on the veranda or in the living room playing cards, looking at DVDs, or using the computer to write friends back home.

Because many brothers would like to enjoy a tropical island vacation without the expense of having to stay at an expensive hotel. they have sought out a bed & breakfast arrangement. However, while our standard bed & breakfast arrangement comes with a buffet breakfast & the usual features of a bed & breakfast, many brothers & sisters coming alone or with one or two other persons, have requested to have everything arranged for them upon visiting the Dominican Republic. Why? Because the Dominican Republic is a third world country and visitors often do not speak Spanish, don't know where to go, what to do, how much to pay for things, or how to arrange transportation and can become prey to unscrupulous persons who may over-charge for these things. For this reason, our All-Inclusive vacation plans were created. This vacation plan available for 2-4 persons only. For more than two persons or for groups we suggest the Semi-Inclusive, since the itinerary is more flexible, and the same number of activities and tours can be enjoyed at a more economical rate.

Our Economy Vacation plans Economy plans include airport pick up and return, breakast each morning in buffet, kitchen privileges, housekeeping services, computer/internet service and all the help needed,by our social hostess,to know where to go, what to do and how to get there. Semi-all inclusive vacation plans include airport pick up & return, accommodations, tropical breakfast in buffet each morning personal chauffeuring to all activities on itinerary created by guests, along with the other services offered by our Economy plans. As part of our All-Inclusive Vacation plans, brothers and sisters are picked up at the airport and chauffered to all activities and places to eat during their stay. The itineraries for these all-inlcusive plans have been designed to include full days at beautiful beaches, day passes to resorts, tours to waterfalls, horseback riding, as well as options for going out in the field ministry and to meetings. All of our vacation plans enable our guests to enjoy the freedom of visiting different beaches each day, participating in other activities, such as horseback riding, and day passes at resorts, as they are not restricted to just a hotel environment during their stay and so this allows them to enjoy more activities and see more of the island and yet pay a lot less for their vacation. In addition to this, our vacation plans include assistance in attending the meetings, and going out in service if requested!

TROPICAL ISLAND BED & BREAKFAST is located in a very quiet area just 2 blocks from the sea and boats to Bacardi Island. The local Kingdom Hall is only a 5-minute "concho" ride (covered wagon pulled by a motorcycle) or a 15-minute walk.

Rooms with air conditioning are an additional $5.00 U.S. per person per day. Electrical cuts throughout the day are common in all parts of the country.
