Tropical Island Bed & Breakfast is not a resort, but a homey bed & breakfast hosted by Jehovah's witnesses.  Brothers on vacation, desiring economical accommodations and the quiet relaxing atmosphere a bed and breakfast has to offer, come to Tropical Island Bed & Breakfast from all around the world.  In addition to this, the Dominican Branch very often recommends TIBB to fellow witnesses.

Tropical Island Bed & Breakfast is walking distance from nice restaurants and only a 5-minute ride to the Kingdom Hall.  Each room has 2 queen-sized beds and a small refrigerator, and is equipped with cable TV, DVD player, and a large selection of movies, as well as a computer and Internet service.  Rooms with air conditioning are available upon request at the time reservations are made.

Breakfast in Buffet:

A breakfast buffet, varied each day,  is served every morning between 7:45 & 8:00 a.m.  Guests enjoy an array of fresh tropical fruits in season, juices or papaya shakes, eggs & ham accompanied by one of the following selections: pancakes, potato-cheese tortas, quesadillas, home fries, fried platanos,  or yucca & onions.  Choice of: our traditional island cereal:  hot "avena de chocolate"  or  fresh yogurt served with almond granola.  An assortment of fresh bakery breads &  "biscochos"  served with tropical fruit jams & locally made Dominican mozzarella cheese. Our Dominican coffee, famous for its aroma & unique smooth full-bodied taste, is  served with a special  chocolate liqueur and Dominican rum.

LOCATION OF BEAUTIFUL  BEACHES

TIBB is located two blocks from the sea, or the Great Bay of Samana where little covered wagons [conchos] and small buses can be boarded to beautiful beaches located al along the coast of the Peninsula 

HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT

Now in this time of worldwide economic crisis when the world in general is downsizing and island vacations are slowly becoming a thing of the past, Tropical Island Bed  Breakfast has made an effort to expand & enhance  its services by creating new lower Economy Packages that may make it possible for more brothers to enjoy visiting our beautiful island here in the Dominican Republic.

While a standard bed and breakfast comes with just accommodations with breakfast, Tropical Island Bed & Breakfast has designed three unique vacation plans, in addition to its basic plan to accommodate the needs of our visiting brothers.  In addition to this, TIBB has also provided airport pickup and return with all its Economy, Sem-Inclusive and All-Inclusive packages for the convenience of our brothers who might otherwise find it difficult to navigate from the International Airports to the Peninsula of Samana'.  The cost of these many hours of chauffeuring has been built into the total cost of each package.
 

Romance & Special Occasion Vacations

Unique All-inclusive  Packages have also  been created  for special celebrations such as honeymoons,  anniversaries, special gifts for graduation or for mom and dad. These are for a limited number of persons and days.

Each room equpped with: Cable TV, DVD player with large selection of movies, computer & internet service. Comfortable queen size beds with posturepedic mattresses.  No charge for children 6 & under in room with parents.   TIBB is not equipped for guests to cook heavy meals, but guests may use the kitchen  after 2:00 p.m. for light cooking.  Also a microwave oven is available for heating up food.    Rooms with air-conditioning:  Room with air-conditioning for one person is an additional $5.00 US per day.  Rooms with air-conditioning for two or more persons is an additional $8.00 US per day.  NOTE:  electrical cuts throughout the day are common in all parts of the country.  During these times there is no air-conditioning.  TIBB, however, does have a battery-operated inverter system that permits use of all other electrical devices such as overhead fans, TV, lights, and computers during these periods.  When reserving, please specify whether or not you would like a room with air-conditioning.   Check-in Time:    12 noon         Check-out Time:  11:30 a.m.
