Not your Typical Bed & Breakfast:

Tropical Island Bed & Breakfast (TIBB), is not a 5-star hotel, but is a homey Bed and Breakfast for Brothers and Sisters.  The Branch Office in the Dominican Republic very often recommends this facility to our fellow Witnesses.

Brothers and Sisters from all over the world come to enjoy a vacation unlike any other.  Some return year after year due to the encouragement and fellowship of being with Brothers, and yet, at the same time, can have their privacy.  There are a number of vacation packages available:  Economy, Semi, and All-Inclusive.

Location:

 

TIBB is located in a very quiet area, just 5-minutes from Metro & Caribe Tour bus lines, and 3 blocks from the sea and boats to Bacardi Island.  Five minutes away is transporation to Samana's other beautiful beaches.  The local Kingdom Hall is only a 5-minute "concho" ride or a 15-minute walk away.

 

 

Facility:

There are accommodations for 12 persons.  Each room has two queen-sized beds.  Rooms available with private as well as semi-private bath.

Airport pick up:  For arrival times between 8:00 a.m. & 6:30 p.m only.   (However, chauffeur will always wait for flights that are delayed, which were  scheduled earlier) Airport return:    For departure times between 11:00 a.m. & 11:00 p.m. only

Economy Vacation Plans:

 

TIBB has arranged 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, and 21-day "Economy Vacation Plans" for brothers wanting to enjoy a tropical island vacation without the expense of staying at an expensive hotel.

 

Our Economy Plans enable our guests to enjoy the freedom of visiting different beaches each day, cruising to Bacardi Island, and participating in other activities, such as horseback riding, and day passes at resorts, as they are not restricted to just a hotel environment during their stay.  Hence, this allows them to enjoy more activities and see more of the island and yet pay a lot less for their vacation.

 

Included in our Economy Plans are airport pickup and return, and of course, breakfast in buffet, kitchen privileges, housekeeping services, computer/Internet service and all the help needed by our social hostess to know where to go and what to do each day (for a list of all our economy packages, see www.tropicalislandbb.com ).

 

Semi-Inclusive Vacation Plans

Semi-all inclusive vacation plans include airport pick up & return, accommodations, tropical breakfast in buffet each morning personal chauffeuring to all activities on itinerary, along with the other services offered by our Economy plans. "All-Inclusive" Vacation Plans

While our standard bed & breakfast arrangement comes with a buffet breakfast & the usual features of a bed & breakfast, many brothers & sisters have requested to have everything arranged for them upon visiting the Dominican Republic.  Some friends feel safer having brothers pick them up, chauffer them around, arrange meals at restaurants, take them to the beaches and resorts for the day.  At the same time they have their privacy...as they are "chauffeured", to various activities, beaches, and restaurants and picked up later.  Please review our different itineraries for options available on our website at www.TropicalislandBB.com .

The All-Inclusive Vacation Plan is only available for one to four persons.  For more than four persons, we suggest the Semi-Inclusive plan which is a more flexible and practical arrangement for groups.

Cable TV with VCR, DVD player in each room, with a huge selection of videos, DVDs; Internet service, kitchen privileges, housekeeper service.

Rooms with air conditioning are an additional $5.00 U.S. per person per day.
 Electrical cuts throughout the day are common in all  parts of the country. During these times there is no air-conditioning.TIBB, however, does have an inverter system that permits use of overhead fans, TV, lights, etc. during these times
