This list contains average fares, which means that they can vary quite a bit from day to day. At times the fares can be much lower than the fares shown below. The purpose of this list is to give you a general idea of the airfares from the various airports and states listed. Good sleuthing on the Internet can often produce airfares as much as one or two hundred dollars less than the "average airfare."
In regard to which airport to come through, it is good to take into consideration the distance the airport is from Samana. Santiago International Airport (STI) is the closest and best airport to come through. There is no additional charge on tours for arriving and departing through Santiago International Airport and Puerto Plata International Airport (POP). However, there is an additional charge for coming through Santo Domingo International Airport (SDQ). But if you are able to obtain a very low airfare by coming through SDQ, the small amount extra that is charged for coming through SDQ won't matter, and will be worth it.
