Being
Creative in our Ministry click link below: http://www.despitedisabilities.homestead.com/FieldService.html ENGLISH NEEDGREATER ASSEMBLY: Although there are no English-speaking congregations in the Dominican Republic, the Branch very lovingly provides an English assembly twice a year for the missionaries, special pioneers and other foreigners serving where the need is great in the country. ON APRIL 29-30: a total of 450 missionaries, special pioneers and needgreaters from all around the world met together at the Santiago Assembly Hall to enjoy encouraging talks on how to improve our ministry serving in a foreign country, along with excellent counsel on the importance of manifesting the new personality in serving under difficult circumstances, and how to keep "filling ourselves up" spiritually as "our lives are being poured out as a drink offering" in our service to Jehovah in a country where nothing is easy! Excellent counsel was given on taking care of ourselves not only spiritually but physically, "so as to present ourselves as a living sacrifice" - not an ill or dead one, and we were cautioned to watch our social gatherings and dress in order to set a good example for local brothers and ones we preach to - always keeping focused on why we are in the country. THINKING OF SERVING WHERE THE NEED IS GREAT IN HONDURAS? A needgreater family will be moving to serve where the need is great on the Island of Roatan, Honduras. On this 30x3 mile island, both English & Spanish are spoken. This family has purchased a house and will have a one-bedroom apartment for rent to brothers seeking to serve where there is a need. Five-minutes from KH. $300 US monthly for long-term rental. For details, Contact: David, Janna, Tabitha & D.J. Thompson, Kentucky, USA. Telephone: (270) 531-6353 E-Mail:

THREE SISTERS FROM CINCINNATI
On
behalf of Vel, Melanie, and myself, we would like to extend a warm,
heartfelt THANK YOU for the wonderful vacation in Samana', Dominican
Republic! We thoroughly enjoyed the trip! It was mentally,
physically, and spiritually refreshing. I couldn't have gone
with a better group of people. I
knew it would turn out to be a nice vacation when I saw your web site,
and when you were so patient and informative when we corresponded
with you. I have even forwarded and mentioned the TIBB to other
friends here in Cincinnati. You all at TIBB are just marvelous!
Rudolfo, Nilda, and the other friends were just so kind and patient
- and we truly mean that. I must say for myself, that this was
the best vacation I've been on. There
wasn't a dull moment. We had so many fun experiences.
The only regrets I have is that we didn't stay long enough. Even
though the Dominican Republic is a relatively poor country, it's the
people who make being there enjoyable. The friends are just
so happy, especially the ones serving as needgreaters. Thank
you once again! Dimitra
Simmons, Vel Mitchell, and Melanie Sinkfield LEARNING
SPANISH Many
brothers have liked & recommended the "Pimsleur Approach"
for learning Spanish. To quote Pimaleur: "...In every
country, native speakers use only about 2,500 words and phrases on
a daily basis... By aiming each lesson at teaching you to use those
2500 words, the Pimseur approach teaches you to speak ... language
in 30 days... If you are dissatisfied, we offer a full courteous refund.
For: 8 fluency-oriented lessons on 4 cassettes or audio CDs
- $19.95" (866)
