Quaint homey Dominican restaurant.  Cheerful decor.  Five minute "concho" ride from Tropical Island Bed & Breakfast or a 10-minute walk.  Typical Dominican cuisine (beans & rice, chicken, beef, fish, platanos, yucca, yame, batata, and other dishes).  Large servings.  $10 U.S and under (cheaper than buying & cooking food)..

CHINESE RESTAURANT

Across the street on the hill above is the Chinese restaurant where you can sit out on the terrace overlooking the Great Bay and enjoy a lovely view of the little town of Samana.  It is a charming way to spend an evening, and the food is very good as well as inexpensive ($10 US average). 

LA HACIENDA

There is a quaint little sidewalk cafe three blocks away with very good food.  French chef, steaks, grilled in front of you.  French, Dominican, Criolla cuisine ($6 U.S.), shrimp, lobster, fish ($15-$20 U.S.).  A variety of Dominican liquors are served free of charge at the end of your meal (nightly special $10 U.S.).
